"Linux for Home Users"

I decided to make the move to Linux because I was looking for an alterative source to go On Line, Surf, Check Mail, Shop, FTP Photos to my Web Page, with Faster Speed, Better Security, Less $$$$$ and all with an interface similar to what I've been using, (Windows). Most of the programs listed below are FREE with some of the best software also included FREE. With instillation taking only 10 to 15 min. and can be installed as a standalone or with your existing OS (Windows), being able to boot in either the Linux or Windows OS,

With Linux you'll have the Speed, Accessibility and Comfort of Surfing the Web, Checking your Email, Shopping, Uploading and Downloading with a free FTP program, sending to photos to family or friends and it also comes with a Free Open Office Program with a Spreadsheet. Linux uses the best browser, (Firefox) which has the best security of any browser on the net. With Linux you can forget Defragging, Cleaning your registry, Checking for Spyware, PC Slow Downs and Antivirus Programs to use or BUY. With hundreds of Free software to download through the Linux Program you will have hours of enjoyment with less PC stress and discomfort. I would suggest trying Ubuntu to Start out, with a small learning curve for the intermediate user and with the help of one of the many books available even the average user will be up to speed in no time and enjoying your PC the way it should be enjoyed.

I still use Windows XP off line for managing my Web Pages, editing, printing photos and off line gaming, but with the comfort and speed of the Linux program I find myself using and liking it more and more. Pick the program that will best fit your needs. Ubuntu, not only being one of the best Linux Programs out there, it's also Free for All Of Your Computers and a good way to get your feet wet.

My Linux choices are Xandros Premium, ($53.99 + shipping at Newegg also includes a 384 page manual, a $30.00 value) for one of my PC's because of the features the program had to offer. And Ubuntu Free, for my other PC which actually offers more than Xandros and the one I use mostly to go online. For the average internet user I hope you will give it a try!
